Last week, Whedonopolis and Fandom Charities Inc. had a special charity showing of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog at the Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. It was sold out, mainly because it included an appearance from The Man, Joss Whedon. For those who couldn’t make it, here’s Joss answering questions from Shawna Trpcic, who designed costumes for Firefly, Dollhouse, Angel and Dr. Horrible.
It’s a little hard to hear, but Whedon is very entertaining talking about the Dr. Horrible sequel everyone is still waiting to see, a new comic book, and the last time he saw Firefly and Serenity.
Here’s a clip of the crowd singing along…
along with a costume contest judged by Shawna…
Denise Gary from “Kids Need to Read” was also there…
and there was some info about Juliet Landau’s new project, “A Place Among The Undead“, and how fans can get involved in a few days…
I was there, had a blast, and would love to do it again. Whedonopolis put on a really fun, intimate event. The only thing I would have liked would have been an opportunity to buy a protein-based snack like a sandwich. It was a long day without dinner 🙂
Otherwise perfect.
I agree that something more nutritious would have been nice. We couldn’t have food trucks this year (because of the location). Some protein bars would have been nice.
I don’t think we will have this problem in for Whedonopolis 2016 con in May (http://www.whedoncon.com).
